UX/UI Designer
We’re building a global art & tech platform—lean, creative, and automation-first. You will work directly with the Founder from day one. This is a rare ground‑floor role with real product ownership.
This role starts at 100% capacity, remote-first with global overlap, and the chance to grow into a key operator role—with future equity rewards for standout performance.
Location: Remote (Philippines team)
Position: UX/UI Designer — Full‑time (2–3 month contract, possible extension)
Start date: As soon as possible
Exclusivity: Full focus. No side gigs.
About Us
The Fusion Art Group is an international creative company working at the intersection of art, culture, and technology. We are hiring our first dedicated UX/UI Designer in the Philippines to help shape our core product — a flagship platform we’re building for global scale.
How We Work (Mindset & Methods)
We don’t copy legacy ways of working. We learn the rules, then design smarter, leaner, AI‑assisted workflows. We automate to the max (Figma libraries, tokens, variants, AI helpers, Zapier/Make, scripts) without losing control or quality—and we keep a clean design/audit trail.
You own the design process. It’s both an honor and a responsibility: you define flows, set the bar, and sign off.
You’re supported. You’ll have access to an expert AI & automation pod (internal/partners) to accelerate repetitive tasks (component scaffolds, variant generation, spec automation) so you can spend time on the work that matters.
If your default is the “old way” (heavy manual steps, slow hand‑offs, little iteration), this role won’t be a fit.
What You’ll Do
- Work one‑on‑one with the Founder to design user journeys for the core product.
- Create wireframes, high‑fidelity mockups, and clickable prototypes in Figma.
- Build and maintain a coherent design system (tokens, components, variants) across web and app.
- Translate complex concepts into simple, intuitive flows with clear hierarchy and states.
- Handoff in Figma: component specs, redlines, interaction notes, and accessible states for developers.
- Iterate quickly based on founder feedback and lightweight user validation.
- Ensure mobile‑first patterns and accessibility‑aware decisions (contrast, focus, error handling).
- Quality bar: Think Netflix, Tinder, Airbnb—clean, modern, effortless.
Must‑Haves
- Figma expert (non‑negotiable): components, variants, auto‑layout, tokens, prototyping.
- 2+ years UX/UI experience (or a portfolio that proves equivalent skill).
- Strong portfolio with mockups, prototypes, and design systems you’ve built or owned.
- Excellent eye for detail (layout, type, spacing, interaction states).
- Strong English communication (written/spoken).
- Full‑time availability only — no side gigs.
- High standards of loyalty, integrity, and ethics; comfortable with NDA & IP assignment.
- Automation mindset: happy to replace manual steps with AI + Figma + no‑code while maintaining traceability.
Nice‑to‑Have
- Experience designing marketplaces, SaaS tools, or consumer apps.
- Motion/micro‑interactions (Lottie/After Effects) or advanced prototyping (ProtoPie/Principle).
- Experience with design tokens and scalable component libraries.
What We Offer
- Work on a flagship product at the intersection of art, culture, and technology.
- Full‑time contract for 2–3 months, with possibility to extend.
- Competitive compensation (contract, negotiable).
- Remote‑first, flexible hours with clear collaboration windows.
- Full dedication is rewarded — future equity may be considered for long‑term, outstanding performance.
- A bold, collaborative environment where big ideas are encouraged and craft matters.
What Success Looks Like (first 30 days)
- Clickable Figma prototype of ~5 core flows.
- Design system v0.1 (tokens, type scale, spacing grid, buttons, inputs, cards, nav, modals, toast).
- Marketing/UI visuals suitable for landing/crowdfunding, plus a short demo script.
- Clean Figma structure: components, naming, page organization, documentation.
